Stay the Course - Herbert Mtetwa

Stay the course and prosperity will follow!

I get tired of routine at times but God is so consistently constant. Just looking at the seasons He brings, they are cyclic and constant. But I often find myself struggling to keep on when I don't see the end product; and I know I'm not alone on this one. So when I saw the picture above from our brothers and sisters in Atlanta I felt faith arise for a word and promise for the year.

I believe God is speaking and saying, 'stay the course, prosperity and all other things will be added on, just stick with me I got you. I have your back WHERE no one else does - I am working in the blind spots'.

I hope the song attached here will also help encourage and stir you, as it has me, to stay joyful on the course while He does His best work in us.

Happy Christmas Eve - Ann Sneddon

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

Here is a Christmas encouragement just for you. Whatever you are up to this Christmastime I pray you have time to reflect on the true meaning and celebration of this season.

If your Christmas is going to be a simple one that's ok. Maybe you will be working that's ok. You might be feeling ill or lonely, I pray God gives you health and company. Or missing loved ones during this season I pray God gives you comfort. Maybe this Christmas isn't what you had planned but I pray God uses it for good anyway. Maybe you feel exhausted and can't rest, I pray God gives you peace. Maybe you are simply having a wonderful Christmas time, enjoy.

When thinking of an encouragement I thought of the word CHRISTMAS and came up with this. This Christmas let's try to keep ...

C - Christ at the centre

H - He is all you need

R - Remember others

I - Invite a guest over

S - Spend time in silence

T - Take time to be thankful

M - Make time to unwind

A - Always have fun

S - Sit back and relax

Wherever we are we can bring Jesus to the table and bring his presence to others. Be a light and shine bright for Jesus.

I hope that you have time to be truly blessed this Christmas and that 2023 brings more joy, love and laughter to your life!

Simplicity - Lydia Dawson

I’m sharing this song this week. It’s spoken to me and helped me through a few situations recently, purely for the reason of reminding me to leave ‘complicated’ at His feet and embrace simplicity (= no religious or striving mindset) and come to Him as I am knowing that I’ll be met with peace and that He will lift my load (Matt 11:28-30).

I hope it blesses you, as it has me!

Choose Growth - Rob Sherwin

There are roadworks on my way to work, with an abundance of traffic cones. At one junction where I stop, I noticed a traffic cone had been thrown amongst a group of plants and these plants were about 8 inches tall. As I looked at the cone, I noticed one of these plants sitting on top of it and my first thought was: ‘why would somebody dig up one of those plants and place it on top of the traffic cone’?

Then I realised what had actually happened; the plant wasn’t withering, it was alive and vibrant! The cone had been dumped on it, and rather than give up, it had looked up and seen light through the hole at the top of the cone and gone for it, growing over two and half feet to push through and then bloom. That plant was now the tallest in the area.

A traffic cone is used to restrict and control traffic and how often will people and circumstances dump on us to attempt to flatten, restrict and control us. But when we look up and pursue the light of God’s reality there’s strength to grow in the toughest circumstance and come out on top!

It’s interesting to think, that that plant would have been lost amongst all the others, if it had not been for the cone. An enemy thinks they can flatten, restrict and control, but God has this amazing way of causing us to actually grow much further through the challenges thrust on us. The defining factor is our choice to pursue the light of his presence or not.

Whatever your situation today, may you get a glimpse of His light, pursue it and don’t give up, for He works all things together for your good and his plan is to bring you through stronger!
