I felt super challenged and encourage by Lester last week when he said to sit still and talk to the Lord.

Sitting still or being quiet is not a strength of mine as you may have noticed. My talking to the Lord often revolves around a lot of doing jobs a round the house or driving the car. Not necessarily wrong, but it's not being still. Lol

Anyway reading Lester's encouragement reminded me of the story of Elijah and when, after a series of loud and violent events, God spoke to Elijah in a soft and gentle whisper. (1 Kings 19:11-13)

I want to encourage us all, that the loudest noise isn't necessarily the one we should be listening too. Reading this Scripture reminds me that God is close to us and we need to quiet our minds, hearts and our fears to hear His voice. It's not always the loudest or the most obvious that the Lord is speaking to us through, but it's the intimite and subtle.
