When Everything is Rosy! Stephen Allen
When life is going well, it can be easy to become comfortable and forget where our blessings truly come from. Yet every good thing we have is a gift from God’s hand. The Bible reminds us in James that “every good and perfect gift is from above.” Seasons of peace, success, and joy should not pull our hearts away from God, but instead lead us into deeper gratitude and worship because He is the One who makes all things possible.
It is important to remember that blessings are not meant to replace our dependence on God. Even when prayers are being answered and doors are opening, God is still on the throne, sovereign over every detail of our lives. In times of abundance, our faith should remain steady, our humility should grow, and our hearts should continue seeking Him daily. Prosperity is safest when it is paired with thankfulness and obedience.
The beauty of walking with God during good seasons is recognizing that His presence matters more than the blessings themselves. Circumstances may change, but God never does. He remains faithful, loving, and worthy of praise whether life is difficult or joyful. When we keep Him at the center during seasons of abundance, we build a faith that is rooted not in temporary success, but in the unchanging goodness of God.
